Can you please try to point on wich drive the bios should be saved. e.g. phlash16 /BU x:\bios.rom "x" represents the drive letter of your usb stick. Edit, It won't work, do the folowing: Install and open hwdirect, go to memory dump. Enter fff00000 and size 100000 press dump. Right click into window, select all, right click again, copy. Paste as new file into winhex. (Open winhex and press Shift + insert key) Make sure ASCII-hex is selected. Save file and upload, please! If winhex doesnt works for you try using Hex Workshop.
I'm sorry to hear that and hope that the bios recovery will go well for you. I always recheck Phoenix bios mods more that once and I will never recomend flashing from windows again. You might need to use USB Floppy, couse recovery from USB Stick doesn't always works.
Thanks for the quick reply again, yeah I think a DOS flash would've worked, I was just lazy , and my current setup has been having some, though not frequent, crashes already which was why I wanted to try fresh install vista. I posted more info under the Bios recovery sticky, not a whole lot of more info though, but just in case someone recognizes something from the symptoms for now. Fingers crossed hoping I can recover the bios, then at least I'll be able to try reflash the modded bios from DOS
