Maybe Yen can have a look..The first version is different. It has a slic, as you said, and this does not. The first is also ssv3 and would maybe brick your board, as I have not tried this for that reason. I looked at the last one because of the size of this bios. I should not try again.I think there is a way you can force your flash to a lower bios, I do not know the switches though. Can you make a acpiscope .ats file of your present bios? I do not want to brick the board, so maybe fzeven, Petar, or Yen look at this. Sorry for my ignorance of this bios type
Okay My vista is now showing itself Activated, I had a HP Cert setup before I did this flash, does this mean I have it right now?
Have you installed any softmods (bootloader, etc)? These were asus slics, so do you mean activated from your mods?? I do not understand if you flashed one of these or not.. Softmods will screw the whole thing up so I have to ask.
I used the Wow5 boot disk but it only showed activated while using the disk so I figured this soft mod was temperary. I'm on a clean install with pretty much nothing, I can reinstall and see if the activation still stands...
you can uninstall the wow5 and install a asus cert, or I can make another mod for HP. clean install would require you to install a cert and serial. There should be an uninstall.bat or similar for the WOW5. Irregardless, you need to install the correct slic cert. I am guessing that if the vista is activating, it is from the wow disc, since I made asus mods..
just be make things clear for myself I did a HD wipe and i'm installing Vista at this moment, this is the MSDN OEM version of vista - post installation i should install the Asus cert and serial and if it activates then all is well?
