It was definitely worth a try. The ones I made were with epa at the bottom, and oem7 at the bottom. fzeven's was acpi at bottom. When I saw it I kicked myself for forgetting to try that. I think cbrom may be updating checksums in a way that the gigabyte bios/mb doesn't like. I asked Yen about this, and I'll upload a new one later either by me or him. I think a cbrom-free one is worth a try if you're interested. Also first choice for flashing is flashspi from dos. I would just use qflash as a backup method.
Well now we/i know that tommy isa is not only resolving the s3 sleep issue with gigabyte,it also writes the slic in a different way compare to other isa bin. sorry correct me if i am wrong
That is why he wrote it..it writes the slic in two places in memory AFAIK..This has always been the case. Did these mods flash but not activate (prior mods)??
My pleasure..Thanks for the feedback.. FYI..in the future, stay away from the ezflash, biosupdate and afuwin (winflash).. They will throw bootblock errors and flash erroneously..NOT GOOD Enjoy the bios!!!!!
in my case no, all of my mod to my friends and with my two gigabyte boards activated successfully using asus isa bin written by tommy why asus? that's the only isa bin i got that is written by tommy, and now since you have shared the other isa bin....hoooooray! i can try now this in my boards. again big thanks to you 911medic! ooops! if you mean the mod i did to rafitaffy it is not based on tommy isa bin, coz he asks for dell slic which i don't have it previously.
