Nice, can you please provide a link to this tool? All I am aware of is our Yen's AMI SLIC3 20080419 tool. Please let me know
Sorry guys, couldn't come online. Could anyone please do my request? Pretty please ? Really hard to overclock with the few options in the BIOS. @Zort, I don't want to increase the multiplier, I want to reduce it . Please help guys .
I found zero additional options for the multiplier adjustment..Just some voltage adjustments. I would suggest getting another board to OC with..Just my opinion...
From what I saw, only a few voltage adjustments were hidden. Everything else appeared to be open. Sorry, maybe I missed something. If you want to post some other forums, I'm sure they are more familiar with where to look...RebelsHaven maybe??
zort, many thanks, I try it now, and then, give you a feedback. One question, What's tommy isa mod? Many thanks again.
Yes, that is the one that I used. It's the first link in the "Mod Your Own BIOS" thread in this forum. That Utility has worked for me in my last two Asus boards BIOS, P5K and now P6T. Simple and easy, flash with AFUDOS et viola!
It's a simple way to add slic to award bios. It doesn't change any of the existing modules. It just adds a new one to the end, and it works on almost all Gigabyte mb's. Tommy refers to the person who made this version of the isa module. It works better than earlier versions.
The "isa" is a module containing slic code that is added to the original bios using the cbrom utility. A cert (digital certificate) is a xxxx.xrm-ms file that you install in Vista. The cert has to match the slic code in your bios to activate. Ex. If you added HP1.BIN to your bios you would need to install HP.XRM-MS in Vista to activate. (Note: ISA1.BIN is the .rar is Asus in case you want to use it.)
