    GA-MA78GM-S2H F6D re-mod request

    Zort,
Polyphemus said in his post he flashed from DOS and a Floppy. This usually works. I also remember after flashing the board (from USB Drive and Q-Flash) didn't start at all, but after giving it a 12v signal via the start button it would just boot normally. i didn't pay much attention to this first hick-up, since boards often do that also without a mod....

I would test another bios if you could just do it today. the Board is my little brother's board an he will be gone on the 3rd of January. so last chance tonight or tomorrow early. i think it would be wise to test another one since this first one seems not be quite stable. my problem is, that this board has no described bios recovery procedure. it only says in the manual that there is a virtual dual bios, but i could not find any procedures for recovery on the gigabyte website. the flash is 8Mbit but the bios only 4Mbit, so i suppose there is a baxkup bios in the chip itself, which of course is not as secure as a sepparate second bios chip.
if you have any experience with GA Virtual Dual BIOS i would appreciate a hint since i cannot find anything to that matter!
    Thank you,
    Gollum

Very sorry about that, please try the following:

    1. Shutoff power
    2. Clear CMOS (adjust jumper on the board)
    3. Startup and see if it boots.

This board has crash free bios and should give you the option to recover if you have a corrupted bios.

Let us know if this worked.
