It looks correct from the one to the other that you posted. I was going to double check the original but the newest on Gigabyte's site is F4 so I assume F5E is beta. Since your motherboard has dualbios you're relatively safe.
Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 F5E beta 'fast' OEM7 SLIC mod worked! Vista activated, overclocked as before, stable. So, I guess, ACPI table can be moved safely for that board.
HP a1640n bios Hi all! I have a HP a1640n which is using an Asus p5bw-la "Buckeye" motherboard with Award Bios. I was upgrading the bios when the computer crashed and not the machine is useless. I did not have it set for flash drive boot so it only boots from a floppy or CD. I downloaded the 317.rom file and sp35153_HP_SLIC.rar files but I have a few problems. 1) How do I create a boot CD to fit all the files onto a CD since the total file size is larger than a 1.44 floppy. 2) When I tried other flash programs in DOS, I kept getting a existing bios does not match type error. Any help is greatly appreciated.
alternatively Does anyone know which chip on the motherboard is the PLCC with the bios? I know someone with a programmer that can program the chip directly with the bin file but no where on the web or HP site, does it say which chip contains the bios. I was thinking it could be the ASUS F8000 but that seemed large for a bios chip. Thanks again.
