This is what I did: awfl859g w7091im7.40m /py /sn /sb /cd /cc /cp /e /f /cc clears CMOS Data, but I didn't clear CMOS with Jumper I also tried the command above without /sb (sb means "Skip BootBlock programming"), but I never tried /wb instead (wb means "Always Programming BootBlock). I was frightened to make the Bios unrecoverable As far as I can remember, I once loaded factory defaults from inside the Bios, but this didn't make the trick...
Try the MSI slic. Skip bootblock flash is a wise decision. Only flash if necessary IMHO.. The additional switches are your preference...I dont use them often
I just flashed your modified bios, additionaly cleared CMOS with jumper and loaded optimized defaults, and now I have the SLIC entry with OEM ID: MSI_NB Thank you very very much for your quick help! Tomorrow I will install Vista and try the MSI certificate, but I'm very optimistic. After that, I will give a final feedback.
Ok, I understand you don't want to work again at it. Please tell me if possible what metod have you use to make it - link to it, as I don't find SSV3 for AWARD, only for AMI - I will try myself to insert the HP Slic inside. Reason - Some Dell or HP software I have on the discs does not run. Says is not a Dell Sistem or saying nothing for HP. ( I have already used the ASUS modded BIOS you linked to ) However on my old Gigabyte motherboard, I've modded myself the bios using ISA method, the HP software works. Dell - not all, unfortunatelly it still says this is not a Dell System.
