    How to dump system area of RAM (may be useful for Award SSV3 mods)

    How to dump system area of RAM to help with Award SSV3 mod (for finding good slic location):

    This works with 32-bit versions of Windows.

    Run Winhex

    Click Tools -> Open RAM

    Physical Memory will be selected, Click OK.

    Click Edit -> Define Block

    Enter:
    Beginning: E0000
    End: FFFFF

    Click OK

    Click Edit -> Copy Block -> Into New File

    Save it with a name such as "system.bin"

    Upload somewhere and post a link to it, or pm the modder if you prefer.

    Yep I should be able to get to it this weekend if no one beats me to it. Beta bioses, especially the A's (first build of new beta version) can be touchier. If it doesn't work we can always do F6. If you have extra time you could do a memory dump like in the above post. Otherwise we'll just pick a spot to try.

    Alternate way to dump RAM, Use for 64-bit Windows

    I don't know why you're getting that message, but here's an alternate method. This is also what people with 64-bit Windows need to do:

    Run HWDirect

    Double click Memory Dump

    Enter:
    Physical Address: E0000
    Size: 20000

    Click Dump

    Right click in box and click Select All

    Right click again and click Copy

    Run Winhex

    Click Edit -> Clipboard Data -> Paste Into New File

    Click Ascii Hex

    Click File -> Save

    Pick a name like "system.bin"

    Upload the file and post the link or pm the modder.
