yeah, think the module is replacing the bootrom, not sure what it does tho, im sure poly would tell if somebody asked(to lazy to ask when im using a 6000+) some people have had dual cores post, others havent been able to get them to, the risk is there, basickly its a phenom only bios(works with the kuma duals though im sure since they are just quads with 2 dissabled cores) i wanted to stick with asus because i have server 2008 activated with it now(using a dell key though) My MAK key needed to reactivate and to do that u gotta have ms add more activations, wasnt worth the hassle(takes them around a week to deal with this, i have done it b4) and this bios (the asus moded one) worked like a charm thanks mucky(can mark it tested)
Sorry for posting this as I know the answer is here somewhere. Still, I want to know that I do this right. I have an Asus P5LD2 motherboard with AMI 1401 and need a BIOS mod please. Also instructions on how to do it! Thanks.
Im curious to which features are 'opened up'. We may be able to do it here in combo with a SLIC mod. If you would get a list of the options they made available, I would be very interested. If they are simply hidden options in the bios setup, it is no problem to open them to you... -If you are interested...
So, no need to do anything with your bios, you just need to reinstall Vista. Are you sure that no table is present in your bios. We can't open your bios file.
I am not sure I fully understand. I tried retail & OEM DVD each time choosing Home Premium. My legit key is rejected each time... The Vista sticker on the notebook says "Home Premium OEMAct" I will have to read a lot more before I can answer the "table in BIOS" question as I dont have the knowledge. I know.... I am the total noob. Thank You very much for Your efforts! Yoko
