    So, no need to do anything with your bios, you just need to reinstall Vista.
    Are you sure that no table is present in your bios. We can't open your bios file.

    I am not sure I fully understand.

    I tried retail & OEM DVD each time choosing Home Premium.
    My legit key is rejected each time...
    The Vista sticker on the notebook says "Home Premium OEMAct"

    I will have to read a lot more before I can answer the "table in BIOS" question as I dont have the knowledge.
    I know.... I am the total noob. :eek:
