@p4spooky: Thanks for the mod bios, flashing was ok, but Vista hooked up with that bios when the screen appears "microsoft corporation" and this little running window. Tried it a few times, but it won t wortk, Don t know what is wrong?
Sorry, I don't fully understand what you are saying... 0. Did you clear CMOS and load defaults after flash? 1. Did you install the key and certificate (ASUS) from elevated command prompt? 2. What version of vista is this? Was it previously activated? 3. Do you have any softmods? - If so, those need to be completely removed. Report back please
Hi p4spooky, it means, that I can flash the bios, but when I have loaded the bios defaults and switch over to start the PC, Windows Vista is starting, but when the windows screen with that written microsoft corporation starts and vista tries to go on, the system hangs. No chance to start vista completely. The sytem hangs and when I flash again, the same happens, no chance to start windows vista. Something must be wrong? And yes, I have cleared the cmos, I have Vista 64, it was activated before with version bios 1.40, no softmods. I have installed again 1.40 and everything is ok with the system, no booting probs, it works fine.
@911medic, where can I find this tool from Andy P.? I ve found it, but it says when I trie to work with: Error 5, couldn t find the file and bios size not valid??
Change the name of the file. Add the .rom to the end. It only works with .rom files. If you have bios1.40...it should be bios1.40.rom to mod it. Just remove the .rom when you are done.. Put the bios file in the same folder as the tool..
@911medic: I tried it renamed with 170.bin and 170.rom, the message: File rom ID incorrect...? Under DOS with afudos 170.bin/rom it didn t work?
Me, too. It s flashing. Didn t work. As I wrote before, flashing under DOS didn t work, File rom ID incorrect?
Try the file spooky modded..he changed the previous to ssv3. If it still doesnt work, i will manually do one..
