Just noticed this. SLICTool will work with any extension - it just defaults to looking for .ROM. If there is a file size error I would be most suspicious of an incomplete download..... (it checks BIOS is a multiple of 64K) Andy Edit: Perhaps he was trying to load the .exe file - as the BIOS is embedded in the flash.exe..... never seen this before...... shouldn't be too difficult.....
Andy: The problem is you cannot flash the bios after a SSV3 mod. Looks like a checksum issue. Please do not remove the SSV2 feature on Asrock boards. Sometimes it works.
i need the bios for my new dfi-board hello! i need the bios for my dfi dk 790gx-m2rs. my question for the bios is under page 1840. thanks
Hi I missed that.... can't find the post... at what stage did the checksum error occur ie. loading into flash tool, after flashing, upon reboot etc.. Has anyone managed to create a successful one?? I haven't removed SSV2 as an option, it will refuse to place the SLIC after the AMIBIOSC string (just like it will for ASUS).... so it wouldn't work in this specific case but provided the SLIC can be fitted in before the AMIBIOSC header it will SSV2 just fine Andy
