hope... Well thanks a lot for your quick answer, I'm going to search tutorials about SSV3/0+2 mod, but i got to admit i'm afraid to do a mess, i'm still newbie with this, seems you guys are quite confortable with modding, I'll be grateful if you could do it. thanks again.
Which ISA module you use might make a difference too. If you weren't using the Tommy version then you could try it again using that one. It was made to correct that problem with Gigabyte motherboards. (Ironically now it isn't compatible with most newer Gigabyte bioses but still oftentimes works with other brands.)
worse!!! I've changed the ISA, took Timmy version and retried, it became worse, I have a restricted access in vista now, can't do anything exept posting^^(thank god!!!), i took a look at everst, seems like the bios is unmodded now (i dont understand). you're my only hope guys! Waiting for someone to mod my bios. thanks.
There is a chance the SLIC might have partly overwritten in RAM. To verify if that is the case you can upload a memory dump for us to check one of these ways: For 32-bit versions of Windows: Code: Run Winhex Click Tools -> Open RAM Physical Memory will be selected, Click OK. Click Edit -> Define Block Enter: Beginning: E0000 End: FFFFF Click OK Click Edit -> Copy Block -> Into New File Save it with a name such as "system.bin" Upload somewhere and post a link to it, or pm the modder if you prefer. For 32-bit or 64-bit Windows: Code: Run HWDirect Double click Memory Dump Enter: Physical Address: E0000 Size: 20000 Click Dump Right click in box and click Select All Right click again and click Copy Run Hexedit Click Edit -> Clipboard Data -> Paste Into New File Click Ascii Hex Click File -> Save Pick a name like "system.bin" Upload the file and post the link or pm the modder.
not easy... I tried dumping the memory, but a have a "access denied", the restricted mode is pretty annoying, another thing wired, the activation window shows me 3 options : 1, restricted access, 2, enter a new key, 3, contact XXX by phone, usually its "contact microsoft..." that's why I think I messed with vista activation somehow right before using your modded bios.
In that case you need to use the 64-bit instructions. I don't think it's due to the Windows restrictions.
thank you thank you for your support, voatk didnt work because of the restricted access (it craches), so i'm gonna erase the partition of my hard drive and rewirte it (make sure the mbr is reset), reinstall vista (it's not gonna kill me I think^^), I'll do feedback in a few hours (need to sleep) Anyway, the hard part is already done, thanks to you p4spooky for the bios, and thank to you Zort for you assistance. See ya later...
