Hi 911medic I've installed the certificate which I initially did not do my apologies. It's works 100% Thank you and to p4spooky
I'm back up again. Hi, p4spooky and zort and the rest. have you got any idea yet where the mod went wrong? Or should i stick to the sz21 bios which I confirmed working? It's not a big deal I really didnt need the bios update but last one went so smooth figured this one would too. Ill wait for your input!
Asrock G31M-S Hello new here so forgive me if this is the wrong place I am looking for a mod for my mobo Asrock G31M-S, any help appreciated. Thks
I may have missed it, but have you uploaded an .ats file from ACPIscope. This may help shed some light..
Glad you got your board replaced. I suggest we wait until the next release and see if EVGA again included the SLIC in ACPITBL.bin that caused all these issues. Zort has an idea around this (still experimental) but if you have a stable bios now let's wait.
ACPIscope says "driver failed to start" I'm on windows vista 64bit. One wierd thing is my bios reported it was sz22 before i loaded sz27. Hope i wont have an issue downgradeing to sz21. On evga there was no sz22 only sz21 and the new sz27. hmmm. Would a everest report help? on the sz27 bios?
I'm curious if in Everest it shows SLIC with: Table Length: 1060 bytes A normal SLIC is 374 bytes. If we replace the bigger, fake SLIC with a real one we'd have to delete the extra bytes in ACPITBL after it. It would a slightly riskier mod to try since that isn't ordinarily done, but probably not overly dangerous.
Not as risky as it sounds, but still risky. We have done similar on a couple of foxconn bios with slic tables. There are a couple ways of attempting this.
here is what everest says about the slic ACPI Table Properties: ACPI Signature SLIC Table Description Software Licensing Description Table Memory Address BF7EAA40h Table Length 1060 bytes OEM ID IntelR OEM Table ID AWRDACPI OEM Revision 42302E31h Creator ID AWRD Creator Revision 00000000h Also I wonder why evga decided to put the slic in the new sz27 bios. It was not in the sz21 as far as i know.
