    Thanks for your reply p4spooky.in the past I downloaded an slic bios for an Asus board and Windows Vista stated that it had been activated.

    When I use this file with the Gigabyte mobo I get the message that Windows has a certain amount of time to be activated, so I am guessing that it did not work because the windows oem key does not appear to be activiated. Thsnks for your help

    When you change motherboards (especially different chipsets) it is always better to reinstall the OS. Please post a Everest report if you need further help. Simply saying "does not work" is not enough information.
