    Hello,
I own a 2003 HP PC, with it's custom windows xp (it sucks...).
I would greatly like to install a fresh retail windows XP on it and use my official key.
With a SLIC 2.1 mod, could I do that? (I was also wondering about installing Se7en instead, I read it would work for sure!)

Extract the rar archive with WinRAR and then flash from a Bootable USB or Floppy with Awdlash:
    awdflash 148_ISA.BIN /cc/cd/cp/py/R

You would probably be better off getting a Corporate XP Pro because they are a lot less trouble with no need to re-activate every time you make a small hardware change. Corp editions don't require anything except for a key. Updates are another story however.

I use XP more than Win 7 because it works very well and can be customized so it is faster to use than Win 7.
