    NoJuan, thank you so much!

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this question - I'm very new to this. Once I have updated the BIOS with the sliced rom, what is my next step to activating windows? I see there is a file with .XRM-MS extension - do I need any sort of program to load this file in Windows, or its loaded in BIOS? I tried looking for a tutorial, can't seem to find anything that explains the procedure straight forward.

    Also, when reprogramming, do I need to use AFUDOS ROMFILE.ROM /P /C or AFUDOS ROMFILE.ROM /P /B /N /C

Recommended Use of AFUDOS 2.xx from ASUS:
    Info from yen.

    Afudos /ixxxx.rom

    xxxx.rom is your modified bios.
    (Program main BIOS image)

Alternate Method (use if first method doesn't work properly for you):
    Afudos /ixxxx.rom /pbnc /n

    xxxx.rom is your modified bios.
(Programs main BIOS image & bootblock image and resets CMOS and NVRAM to defaults)

    Thank you so much!

Just one more (hopefully last) question - once I'm done updating BIOS, do I need to install both Certificate and Key, or just Certificate?

    Both.
Also I would personally flash the UnModified Version with the /pbnc /n switches first and use it for a few days to make sure that update works like it should on your PC, BEFORE you flash the Modded Bios.

    Thank you again.

I'm actually currently running the unmodified version of this Bios - I upgraded a while ago using windows Asus Update tool, and it seems to work correctly.

You will be fine Flashing that Modded BIOS then.

Just how bad would it be to try and update bios from Windows? I can't seem to boot into DOS no matter what I try.

    I wouldn't Flash from Windows.
You would be better off trying to use EZ-Flash.
