You are welcome.. Just like the old days..take 'em apart and change everything.. Glad it worked and thanks for the feedback. For future reference..the SLIC tool kit dump is useless in TS this mod..RWEverything would have been more help... EDIT: Did anyone use AndyP's tool on this one...Is this the previous fails...I am checking something....
Do you used CBROM32 V1.15 to extract and add slpkey, slpmarker and acpi table to the BIOS? I have tried to use it, but I have problem with slp21marker.bin: after the addition, its size varies from 182 bytes to 512. How did you solved this problem?
Nope..used cbrom 1.82 (Although most others will work), released the pubkey and marker and replaced them with ones I made..you have to release before you re-add them (Extract leaves them in the bios file). I also extracted the ACPITBL and the main bios (named test.bin if you look) and changed the OEMTable/ID to ACRSYSACRPRDCT in the RSDT, FACP, SLIC, etc. ACPI tables accordingly. I then resized the ACPITBL, and main bios accordingly to maintain sizes and offset in bios and put them back in (with hex editor) like old times (Read cut and paste OEM7 mod) SO like this: 1: remove(release) the slp20pubkey/slp20marker from bios 2: Add new pubkey and marker 3: I used the hexeditor to cut out the mainbios, awardtext.rom, CPUCode.rom, and the ACPITBL.BIN (rename mainbios to main.lha to extract). I resized the mainbios and ACPITBL accordingly after modifying the OEMTable/ID and put them all back being sure to maintain the proper offset. Adjust checksum and upload the bios. Using the calculator and some old technique this all worked out. Very similar to 0+2=0+2 method.... SO: You can use the original and my mod and use cbrom to compare. You will see the size differences and the change in pubkey/marker files..work with extract and release commands. Be sure to extract before release if you want to reuse the module..LOL The biggest problem with previous attempts was technique. I have the luxury of having helped fine tune these methods before the tools were built. This was a bit of a PITA I would say..not difficult but took some figuring.
Request like you are supposed to and maybe you will get help..otherwise see stickies for already done SLIC bios..Or better yet; use the tool and do it for yourself....
