Because Many times the SSV3 method does NOT work properly on ASUS Notebooks.
And you said you tried one already that did Not work which was probablty made with the SSV3 Method.

I got Server 2008 R2 up and running with the Dell 2.1 SLIC on a Gigabyte GA-H61M-D2P-B3. I'm too much of a n00b to post a link but it's in the Award BIOS request thread.

Thanks again to the whole forum, this place is great.

my faith is a bit shaken by the 'blind' bios flashing i had to do. o_O
tt was wad i least expected. but i am willing to try again, just needed to ensure everything is proper first :D

wad other recovery method is there? or which would you recommend?
cause reading the recovery sticky, they used afudos, while i am using aflash2
do i flash with the /all switch for aflash2?
does that override the bootblock? or is there another switch to avoid the bootblock?

    thanks again!
