Looks like the dell info is in the correct location. But still will not activate XP(xp was already installed on my drive). I used DMI and added HP info to bios. Then restored my XP drive with a HP xp pro copy. I'm good now.

But still scratching my head why the dell slp didn't take. My old bios had slp in same location and xp was fine?

I already wrote to you that I don't want to discuss your permanent mod method any more : I think that your approach is wrong.

merry XMAS and happy New Year for you and your family.

Hello to all from Greece ,
my name is Constantine and i would like to ask if i can get a bit of help regarding a mainboard bios of the Asus P5L-MX .
The reason is that i got a new E 5700 Intel Processor yesterday but it seems that it is not supported by the board and it shows speed of 600 Mhz . Plus that i get an error Intel Cpu u code error . I searched the Asus site and it says that the E5700 is not supported . Is there a way to
find a modded bios so i can make this Cpu work correctly ? The problem is that i installed it already and i cant return the cpu :(
Notice that i tried to install all Asus Bios(es) but didnt make it to work .

    I appreciate any help .
Thank you so much in advance

    Constantine , Greece
