In the biosmod package you should find bupdater.exe (the flash tool) and 0801SLIC.ROM (the biosmod) files, put them on the bootable support and launch the command bupdater /i0801SLIC.ROM
Thanks for all your help Ipmark. I followed your instruction However when i try to run that command all I get is A blue screen background with a red rectangle in the center and inside the red rectangle is written "Failed to find update module." What is the update module being referred to? Is bupdater incompatible with my Mboard (ASUS M5A78L-M-LX)? I was able to flash to latest official bios using EZ Flash tool however bupdater has yet to progress beyond "Failed to find update module" Is there a bios setting i need to change, I'm stumped.
Check your motherboard, are you sure it's an ASUS M5A78L-M-LX model? The model version is printed on the PCB
Yes i am sure. Its on the PCB, the retail box and user guide. Is there another method as bupdater doesn't seem to like my board? Have tried writing the files to both a bootable CD and USB drive with same result. Is the update module located on the boot device or pre existant in the bios?
You have to use SLIC Toolkit v3.2 to see the SLIC Table or use Daz Loader, it will detect the SLIC table and install the proper cert/key only.
You can use the dmi tools (found in xp sticky) to add hp entry which is sufficient to activate windows server 2003
