    ASUS_NOTEBOOK is the name of the Asus Slic ~ its not the problem. You have to install proper oem:slp key to be activated.

    Ok, because I'm just thick-skulled :( How do I do that at this point? (Thought I had done everything) :(


    (Had I known about the Activation BackUp proggie beforehand, I would have backed up my existing activated copy) <sigh> will certainly do that after I get this one activated.
