I don't know what else to say.
If flashing from DOS didn't work.
Try reading up on Flashing with AFUDOS and see if using different switches helps.
I have read this may help:
After it is done it will tell you it was succesful and you can restart. After restarting, go into your BIOS and set everything to BIOS defaults or Optimized defaults, save and reboot.

Also from the AFUDOS.txt from AMI:
    AFUDOS v4.xx

AFUDOS is a BIOS update utility, also referred to as a "BIOS flash utility", with a command line interface for MS-DOS. The target board MUST use AMIBIOS Core 7.xx or AMIBIOS8. Older AMIBIOS systems support the AMIFLASH.COM program.

This utility offers the following features:
    . Small executable file size
    . Quickly update
. Clear updating information and status
. Fully compatible with AFUDOS 3.xx command structure

    Supported Operating System
    . DOS environment (MS-DOS, FreeDOS, ...)

    Getting Started:

Copy the AFUDOS.EXE executable file to any storage location accessible by the host system and then run AFUDOS in command prompt.

    Basic Usage:

    AFUDOS ROMFILE.ROM /P /C
. Program main BIOS image, reset CMOS to defaults

    AFUDOS ROMFILE.ROM /P /B /N /C
. Program main BIOS image & bootblock image
. Reset CMOS and NVRAM to defaults

i have a Q i had purchased the oem vista 32bit premium last year and it is installed on my 4 drive raid0 array.

if i flash my asus a8n32-sli-deluxe to a modified (slick) bios and install win7 on to a standalone drive will it mess with my legit vista activation since i changed my bios?\

    for ex:
say i want to dual boot (vista on the 4drive raid0) and (win7 on the standalone hd) and i switch the boot order in the bios to control which OS i want to boot.

having it setup like that requires the modded slick bios but if i boot vista the next time with that modded bios for win7 will it deacticate my vista OS.
