Sorry i can´t boot Dos. The notebook always goes back to bios menue. the only way to flash the bios i think is over the easy flash utility in the bios menue. But I have already tried it there, the error message that the BIOS is too old. Is it possible to change the revision and date from bios with hex editor?

    1. Copy original N76VZAS.213 bios as N76VZ.bin (or N76VZ.213) to the Root of the FAT32 formatted USB stick
    2. Insert the USB stick that contains the new BIOS image into your USB drive.
    2. While pressing <Ctrl> and <Home> on your keyboard power on the system - until your hear two short beeps. This may take from a few seconds to one minute.
    3. After locating the BIOS binary image, the system will enter the BIOS Recovery page.

    From Nb manual:
Try also on the "Security" page set "Secure boot control" to Disabled

that is the problem, since the update this afternoon with the modded version is the entry "Secure Boot Control" and "Launch CSM" is no longer available! I think thats the problem!

the only possibility which still seems to work is the PXE network booting. But I know nothing about. Perhaps you could also flash back the original bios with fpt.exe. just needed a detailed manual for it. sorry for my bad english. im from germany.

    Attempted to flash v.p01.A3 with dos usb boot and acer supplied Flash1M.bat (calls afudos.exe ..\ROM\P01-A3.1M /p /b /c )
    - Bootblock checksum ... ok
    - Module checksums ...ok
    - Error: File ROM ID incorrect
A bit nervous to use this bios as readme.doc is generic with no mention of model name (R01.A4 readme has S670G reference)
    Any sugestions?
