Because I have a dell oem disk that I like to have a dell bios slic so that I can just pop in the disk when formatting and not have to worry about activation issues like a true oem dell computer.

 

ASUS Motherboard + ASUS SLIC probably better than ASUS motherboard + DELL SLIC.

When I use the bios referred to me with asus slic, the dell oem disk does not activate, what steps do I need to do to get it to work?

 

Thank you for that! I'll try this tonight, this is just a different way than I'm used to doing it but we'll see how it goes.

 

Its a simple ISA mod previous. You can add yourself if you like...

Hi there, quick note, i activated today exactly that: dell oem dvd, asus board, bios mod from here (see above posts, thanks to serg008), installed asus cert on win7, input asus oem key, et voila, everything is fine.
Oh and also, it shows DELL logo, although i have no dell pc, i guess it shows the logo from the oem dvd you have Just like you want to have it mate.
