I'm hoping someone can help me out, as this isn't a request for a mod per-se, as I need a stock backup.bin to restore. I flashed my Asus P8Z77-V with a BIOS that had a permanent SLIC injection (DMI method). However the original backup that was made on my system was on a USB stick and my dumbass forgot to back it up elsewhere and it was erased. I'm in the midst of trying to troubleshoot some issues in a pure UEFI environment (CSM disabled) and I'm beginning to think the modded BIOS may be the culprit. However given the circumstances I have no way to verify and mark this one suspicion off my list. So someone please help me out . If I can get a stock backup to restore I can provide the latest BIOS (1805) for this motherboard with the latest Intel RAID Option ROM (UEFI firmware included). It's not much I know, but it's all I can think of right now. TL;DR: Can someone who has an Asus P8Z77-V with BIOS v1805/1708 please provide me with an original, unmodified, complete backup? I need to remove the permanent SLIC keys that were injected via DMI Method, and I lost my original backup. If you don't know how to make a complete backup, I'd be more than happy to tell you . Again, any help would be tremendously appreciated.
Serg008, Thanks for explaining which tool I needed to use. I was able to repro the mod you made (confirmed using an md5 check).... Should I be concerned that the modded BIOS file gives an error when verifying? I get Pubkey does NOT match certificate (x1) DELL[PE_SC3]2.2-92BE5464.BIN matches certificate Is it still ok to flash? Thanks again!
Where can I download "SuperMicro_H8SMI-2_R3.5-R1.0C_(SMI22048-SMI28119)_ACER_SLIC_2.1_SSV3.rar "? There is nothing on the page of old link 。Please help me?
