    sony

    Hi i modded the bios on a sony vaio pcv rx550 but it failed. now i bricked the pc. The board is actually an asus p4b-lx is it possible to use the bios from the spare board i have 2 of the boards

    Only you can try it take bios chip from spare motherboard put it into sony see if it boots from floppy usb e.c.t hot swap chip back to your bricked one then flash with original sony bios.

    I was also wondering after i get it working can i just use the bios from asus for the board instead of sony cause asus has newer ones than sony
