    Yep; permanent means after flashing the modded bios, you can update to official bios keeping the existing SLIC.

    Thanks for the super fast turnaround, but I've been at it too long as I'm getting non-genuine notification. Tried a couple different keys, but still nothing.

    I'm using the method described in the "Windows7 Activation on SLIC 2.1 BIOS" thread that utilizes Daz's loader. Is that still a valid?
