1. try with \NODATE option winflash.exe /NODATE or flash in pure DOS with utility from support's disk (this mod have been confirmed before (by other forum's members))
Hi, thanks for responding. I put on a flash drive fat32 bios under different names: K55VM.BIN, K55V.BIN, K55VMAS.211 (original name), then put the stick one among the usb ports, I keep pressed buttons "control" and "windows "I connect the power cable, turn on the laptop, but it does nothing, I have tried with two usb ports and still the same, the lights come on and stays below only the energy, the hard drive spins, the fan also but nothing. Can we do more? Thank you very much.
confirm fails! (see notes below) using usb dos boot disk as per your v handy link also, thank you VERY much i had problems with it refusing to flash: however, the readme says: 2. Run MeSet.EXE under pure DOS, the system will auto cold boot. which i did run, then it flashed no problem (it auto powered off after flashing, bit scary) other solutions to this seems to be a jumper on the motherboard to allow bios access (seems to be for desktop motherboards really though) activated using: HPQOEM-2FE5FA14.XRM-MS --- update having trouble with sleep/power on/windows driver initialise (it goes to sleep) laptop won't power down properly on shutdown i will put the normal bios on it to test, will update... --- i put official bios on it, no change, looks like a crap bios *sigh* unless this laptop is plain duff..... emailing zoostorm for support hopefully, will update.... ----- last update confirm this one not working, zoostorm put the wrong bios on their website... i will re'request the working one asap...
