@dewot Adding SLP via andyp's tool always results Security Verification error as it breaks digital signature of the bios. Moreover Dell SLP is a complicated one for adding. Why do you need the SLP string?? Do you want to install XP on this mobo??
Yes, I have an XP install I want to keep alive for awhile yet. I have finshed the migration, and logged into XP on the Z87 - just need to do the activation part. I haven't modded a bios since P55 chipset, so feel free to tell me what makes SLP mods difficult - I thought maybe dmi would still work, no? I guess I could change back to retail and find a retail serial if it is a problem.
1. Do a P2V & run XP in VM. 2. DMI editing for AMI Aptio is difficult. 3. AFAIK, a Lenovo SLIC mod should add Lenovo SLP string as well. If you want, then I can do it for you.
Dell SLIC / Dell SLP would be preferred, but if Lenovo is what works ( a special case?) then that would be fine, thankyou!
