    Thanks for the input Serge.

I am doing this Flashing from the Command Prompt inside Windows 7 as per standard Acer Instructions. If you intended another way, please advise.

The commands you've given make a backup onto the USB Stick, but the Command afuwinx64.exe backup.rom /p /b /n /r makes a table pop-up with a summary of all commands. If I shift the sequence of switches to eliminate the space after "backup.rom" and capitalize the switches so the command looks like this "afuwinx64.exe backup.rom/P/B/N/R" it starts Reading =>

    flash...........done

30 - Error: Problem Opening the File for reading

If I afuwinx64.exe backup.rom with no "switches" (which I understand writes over everything by default.) it runs a little further:

    Reading Flash .........Done
Secure Flash enabled, recalculate ROM size with signature...
    - FFS checksums........ok
Loading Capsule to secure memory buffer ... done
18 - Error: Unable to start a Secure Flash session.

It seems odd to me that you can read / copy the Bios but can't write that same copy back.

Is there anything I can do ? Thanks for the assist.
