Hello. I have a HP Slimline s3621pt desktop which doesn't have any BIOS update on the drivers page. It originally had Windows Vista (SLIC 2.0) and was upgraded to Windows 7, but meanwhile the partition table went nuts and I just installed 7 from scratch. Is there a tool I can use to backup the current BIOS so I can upload it somewhere along with the RW report? Since I don't have any BIOS update, I don't know which tool to use. -Manufacturer: HP -Motherboard Model: Slimline s3621pt -Bios revision: 5.16 08/13/08 (SLIC 2.0) -Bios Type: Phoenix BIOS -Bios Download Link: (N/A) -RW Everything Report: (N/A) Many thanks
yes i had already did as you advised other than change the extension from .rom to .bin but will give a try today and report back how i get on. thanks
i done exactly as above and still windows activates as an "ATComputer" after install with all the ATComputer branding and logos, is ther a way to change this so that it will install as a "HP" or "Compaq" and how please or should the bios mod be done differently somehow maybe ? i even tried deleting the ATComputer info details from the windows 7 install OEM folder but still did not install as HP or Compaq. thanks
