Very good. I am glad to help. The repair discs should be fine, they are usually linked to DMI. You may have to update the Seria, but I would not worry about it now.. Enjoy the new bios!!!
Do you recall the methods they used..so you dont get repeated methods. Have you actually flashed the bios? Sounds like it is a user thing and not the bios mods..
I know, again, I'm dumb with this.. From what I've seen from all of these.. Have me create an archive with AFUDOS and a cert, then extract it to my flash drive. Then restart and try to boot from the flash drive.. but that's not an option.
Yesss...I meant serial... DMICFG.exe or other DMI tools. it is not even for sure you have to. Not a concern right now.
What are your options? You need to put the bios and the afudos on a bootable medium..NO CERT!!! You can use:CD,DVD,USB drive, Floppy, USB floppy, probably a memory stick of some sort (i.e. camera memory card)..stuff like that. What do you have? You can add a floppy or other. ***I prefer floppy to any other method of flashing...maybe I have been around too long...
I don't know how this stuff happens! Lol. It's back to SLIC not even showing up there now, so I did something wrong. >.<
Yes, I have a floppy drive, and probably some blank floppies laying around. I'll have to use that V.. something program again and get rid of the loader.
Wait.. I think I found the problem/solution.. Since I'm dual-booting XP and 7 and I ran SLIC Dump on 7.. Whenever I switch back to XP, it kind of.. cancels it.. It's fine though, lol. Thanks so much for the help!
