-Manufacturer: Dell -Motherboard Model: Dell Latitude e7440 -Bios revision: A07 installed can upgrade to A08 -Bios Type: RWEverything shows Creator ID as "AMI" -Bios Download Link: htt*://ww*.del*.co*/support/home/us/en/04/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=RYC84&fileId=3353862108&os Code=BIOSA&productCode=latitude-e7440-ultrabook&languageCode=EN&categoryId=BIThis post/guide htt*://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/13194-Tool-to-Insert-Replace-SLIC-in-Phoenix-Insyde-Dell-EFI-BIOSes allows me to take my E7440A08.exe and in a sense prepare it for the UBU utility found htt*://ww*.win-raid.com/t154f16-Tool-quot-UEFI-BIOS-Updater-quot-UBU.html . The UBU Utility is crazy easy to use. Once the updated Intel RAID ROM module is updated using UBU Utility and you exit the bios.bin file is updated. In the MDL forums several users posted having issues updating the BIOS on the laptop because the file is not named correctly and or there are too many changes to the, and correct me if I'm using the wrong wording, modules. If there are too many module changes it won’t work. So using the MMTool I load the bios.hdr that was "created" using the Phoneix Tool, see first link above. I open a second instance of MMTool and load the bios.bin that is created AFTER I change the Intel RAID ROM module. I compare the two and the only difference is the Intel RAID ROM module. As expected. Now my problem how do I flash the bios back on to my Dell laptop. Anyone know how to flash the BIOS back to my Dell e7440 if not can someone prepare the file so I can flash it back to my laptop?
I'am trying to resurrect a bad flash ( reverse) 2 to 1.6 on this board FM2A88M Extrem4+ ,tried to extract and mod the original file ,to correct layout and size, but not working still no display or USB . Will this file work without dos ,ie programming via the eprom programmer ?. Thankyou .--. ..- .-.. .-.. .. -. --. / -- -.-- / ..-. . -.-. -.- .. -. / .... .- .. .-. / --- ..- - / ? .--.-.
