    You don't need to mod the bios. Instead, you need to use the marker utilitiy to enable it. Please check the enclosed guide (text/video) carefully.

    i looking for a SLIC 2.1 Bios for this Machine:
    Model: Acer Aspire X1700
    Bios: AMI

    I found many links with modded Bios files, but all links broken.
    Has anyone this Bios and can give me a copy of it?
