Hello there, I'm new to the forum, first of all I want to say that this forum is amazing, with very nice people, so I hope you can help me dispel this question.

First of all, the data on my computer:

Computer: HP Compaq dx2400 Microtower PC
Motherboard: Asus IPIBL-LB rev 1.0 (Benicia)
Bios: AMI 5.37, SLIC 2.1 (currently installed, I downloaded it from here)
Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit.

As we know this computer does not support my operating system, this model only supports up to Microsoft Windows 7 Professional (32-bit) with BIOS 5.35, then my request is:

Is it possible to update the BIOS (unlocked) without affecting Motherboard (or its components) but supports Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit? Obviously with SLIC 2.1 to keep my activation (nononsence help me (thanks)). If possible What BIOS could be? Or maybe the 5.35 BIOS unlocked with SLIC 2.1 and support for Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit.

    Thanks in advance.

    Best regards.

    Karl

    Edited, reason: Extend my explanation.
Edited, reason: Please move the thread to the BIOS Mod Requests forum, sorry I was confused.

follow your motherboard manufacturer procedure , or put your bios on fat32 usb stick and update your bios from motherboard utility if it has one!
