The link in that post ( the box.com one -- I would paste it here but I can't post URLs ) works for you? I just get sent to Box's home page. Strange.
Hello, could you akcent or the enquirer upload this file again, please? Unfortunately the on 24 Feb 2015 posted Sendspace link is down. I would like to test it and post the result. Thank you! PS: Fu. I can't post links anymore :-( Hope it works as I have it modified...
I flashed the Asus21 one and it works great. Is the SLIC permanent? If not, I think I'll just stay with this version forever. (I had to remove links in Serg008's post because the forum won't allow me to include links because I don't have 20 posts already.)
Thanks akcent for the quick response! I will install it but what for a CERT-file I must use? Can I use my old Compaq-HP 2.1?
Ok, I had to use the ASUSUpdater s/w that came with the motherboard as the afu utilities kept giving me errors that the bios was not AFU capable. But it went in cleanly, the SLICToolkit (3.26 I think) found it properly, and I then spent 2 hours alternately swearing and typing to get the cert and key to go in. They finally did and the Not Genuine/Not Valid warnings all went away. HURRAY! Three cheers for my new favorite person, Serg008! If you ever need any programs written, let me know. (I do .Net, C, C++ and Assembly (that last is only if I can't do it another way ).
Oh... can I update my old BIOS (with Compaq/HP SLIC-Table) with your ASUS-modBIOS (Windows already activated)? Or must I uninstall the Compaq/HP licence (and Product-key?) before I update my BIOS to 1.70? Or is it irrelevant if the manufacturer in the CERT-file different from the manufacturer in the SLIC of the BIOS? And if it's not irrelevant: how do I delete/uninstall the licence? With the command "slmgr.vbs /rlic"? What is the update procedure for BIOS-update with different CERT-files on a activated Windows 7? My head is spinning...
Ga-j1900n-d3v Dear akcent Could you upload your mod bios for GA-J1900N-D3V again? I coul not download it.
