Yes, although i can't be 100% sure if it's because of the modified BIOS dump file or because a semi compatible BIOS 2.1SLIC file I've flashed for testing propose from a non OEM ASUS motherboard - V2-M2NC61S 8.01 1. I tried to modify the BIOS myself using awardtool153 - no success 2. Successfuly modified & flashed V2-M2NC61S 8.01 ASUS SLIC 2.1 - Windows 7 activated 3. Flashed modified BIOS dump ACER SLIC 2.1 - Windows 7 stayed activated I also had to use a programmer as AWDFLASH would not let me "downgrade" from 8.01 to 0204, Does it make any sense...?
after the mod (v.0204) flashing you must install Acer 2.1 Cert.: copy Acer 2.1 Cert. "ACRSYS-4B032EBD.XRM-MS" to root of C: run cmd.exe as administrator and type in the command prompt: SLMGR.VBS /ILC C:\\ACRSYS-4B032EBD.XRM-MS ...wait for result SLMGR.VBS /ATO
I didn't... I flashed your modified 0204 BIOS dump and Windows 7 stayed activated on the previous ASUS SLIC2.1 activation, I've also successfuly upgraded to Win10 in the meantime
