    @ Simple07, simple fact is OEM:SLP i,e SLIC were offered official upgrage to windows 10 where as kms i,e corporate or volume versions were not eligible for the upgrade so SLIC method is most preferred.

    So basically, people with SLIC have to first have Windows 7 or 8 installed, perform a Windows 10 upgrade to obtain digital certificate then they can format and install at will !! I guess there is no harm in having it implemented, unfortunately it did not work in our case.

    The SLIC method does not work with Windows 8 client or later. There's no such method to activate Windows 8/8.1 or Windows 10 by SLIC method.

    The SLIC method is intend to activate the Windows 8 server (Windows Server 2012) or later only.
