Hi there! I'd like to know if there's a way to replace the existing SLIC 2.1 on an ASUS motherboard. A few years ago I flashed a ASUS H97M-E with a BIOS modded with SLIC 2.1, and now I'd like to replace with the v2.4 from Dell. I already modded the BIOS, but when I flash it it preseves the old ASUS 2.1 SLIC. Is there a way to replace the existing ASUS 2.1 with the Dell 2.4 SLIC?

    Thanks!

Ok! So if I got this right, I need to have the SLIC 2.4 mod, which I already have, and Aptio AFUWin. Is this correct? I have some doubts about the Aptio section, since I think this flash utility is for some notebook models. Will it work with the H97M-E board? I found some sort of AMI BIOS utilities repository on wimsbios.com. In this site they have both AMIBIOS and Aptio compatible utilities. Which one shoud I use?

    Thanks!

    1. flash official bios with EZ Flash (or bupdater). Reboot.
    2. for x64 Windows use AFUWINGUIx64.EXE (for x86 - AFUWINGUI.EXE). Run AFUWINGUIxxx.EXE . Click Open and select modded .cap file. On the opened SETUP tab uncheck all boxes and check only box #2 under "Non-critical block" caption. Press Flash and wait till it's green.
    3. Reboot.
