Thanks, it worked. I have tried AMIDEWINx64 and DMIEDIT. Serial number stays even after CMOS cleared. I hope that this will be sufficient. New BIOS has read and write protection, so that's why I had to downgrade to 1.10 to use flashrom. I would have to get an SPI programmer to read the chip.
