    I think for the gateway, we will be seeing the ACER SLIC..

    It may be Gateway in a while, but since they are the same company, and ACER is out already...this may be the one in the gateway machines..

    I have already seen bios with both gateway 2.0 and ACER 2.1 slics. Only the 2.0 was referenced..Kinda weird, huh????

    One of many I would think (hurdles)..have fun with the experiment, I think the bios is the most dangerous...

    An Acer modded bios would be fine for the gateway LX6810 . I am fine with using the bios with the Dell SLIC, but it would be nice if it were Acer or Gateway.

    With a bios mod and the right hardware. The DSDT needs the alias' removed. The tools do this now if you know how to facilitate this..

    So....yes it is possible...
