I've meant to ask ppl the same question. i guess there is nothing wrong with having a different SLIC to your motherboard model, but that just weird, unless of course certificate is not available.
All dynamic mods change the ACPITBL.BIN file, as that is where the SLIC code is. The big issue with moving the ACPITBL to the end is a change in offset, that can brick a large number of boards. If you can maintain offset by using the epa module for the oem7 module and move the epa to the end, it is best. Very bad to move the acpitbl unless you are sure the bios will work that way. Sensitive modules do not like offset change, this is why we call them sensitive... I think a clear cmos and defaults loaded will be sufficient. The best tool to use for TS is the RWeverything, Everest is a bit less efficient and the dump tool is absolutely only for the basic info..for show if you like. I have no proof it is anything else than fluff..a good tool for what it does, but not for TS inactive or multiple slics. Everest reads headers, so it shows all SLICs present, even those not referenced. If you do dynamic mods, leave the order the same..the tool will resize and keep offsets as close as possible.. EDIT: Questioning if a pubkey mod was attempted???
