    Recommended Usage
Info from yen, try this with just the /i first.

    Afudos /ixxxx.rom

    xxxx.rom is your modified bios.
    (Program main BIOS image)

    Afudos /ixxxx.rom /pbnc /n

    xxxx.rom is your modified bios.
(Programs main BIOS image & bootblock image and resets CMOS and NVRAM to defaults)

Hmmm, this is not working as I'd hoped.

On both M3 and M4 A79T-Deluxe machines, I seem to flashing the new SLIC.ROM OK, because I get the details appearing in SLIC Dump Toolkit, but then when I try to add a cert using cmd.exe (run as administrator) slmgr -ilc C:\ASUS-_ASUS_-.XRM-MS I still get that message
I have used VOATLK to clean any previous loaders (it gave me the message that they are removed), then updated the BIOS with the SLIC version

I ran the OPATool, and found an ASUS-NEW cert, and installed using that, and I got a message saying that it was successfull. But checking the status, both in OPAtool and Control Panel]System...it still tells me I am in grace period and need to activate.

Did you Install Windows 7 Build 7600 RTM yet ????
You said you had an old Beta Build installed in a previous post.

    Still not working

Tried both the above methods and its still not working. :(

    About the bootblock image....
The very first time that i updated to v704 (the original genuine) BIOS, EZ Flash 2 showed that it was erasing and rewriting the bootblock.

But subsequent reflashes with genuine v704 and subsequent reflashes with MOD v704 did NOT rewrite the bootblock.

Even your suggested afudos methods did not indicate explicitly that the bootblock was being rewritten. However the BIOS settings were reset during the /pnbc /n usage (which suggests that the switches were taken into account by the program).

    Now comes the question:
Is it necessary for the bootblock to be rewritten to insert a new SLIC?

The original BIOS has NO SLIC at all (not 2.0 or 2.1) so the mod must have updated the Bios before the crash and somehow the new Bios info was retained after the recovery.

    afuXXX /i<ROM filename> [/o<save ROM filename>] [/n] [/p[n][c]]

    /n - don't check ROM ID
    /pbnc -
    b - Program Boot Block
    n - Program NVRAM
    c - Destroy System CMOS

Also make sure there is NO Jumper on your board that needs to be moved or removed for a full flash.

Post a screen shot from Slic Dump tool 3 advanced tab for me.
