Hmmm that could be the problem! They're not using the same bios that's why it don't update.. Your lucky did not brick your mobo... You should give the correct bios for your mobo P5E Deluxe not the asus rampage. the current bios for P5E Deluxe is 0501 BIOS, for Asus Rampage Formula is v0902 so stop flashing the bios from Asus Rampage Formula it will brick your mobo.
I was using Rampage Formula BIOS prior to flashing with the one posted here. It's well known that the P5E Deluxe and RF are the same mobo, the only difference between the 2 other than the more advanced BIOS settings in the RF bios is the cooling solution on the board and the RF has 1 more LAN port. There are even cases where the silkscreen of "P5E Deluxe" is just covered with a stick-on lable that says "Rampage Formula."

I have cleared CMOS and loaded default settings, then still "No SLIC" I just used AwardTool (Award Slic Mod v1.33) to verify the BIOS file, it did say "This BIOS has already had a SLIC (2.1) table added with ISA Method", but then it said "Module Buc317.BIN has an invalid checksum(FF)" Does this mean something?
