A big thanks to the bios modding crew here; you guys are really quick. ^_^ I know flashing is a gamble but which one would more likely work for the Asus CUV4X-C : NoJuan999 or 991medic's Version Ps @ 911medic What is this _ASUS_-E1948081.XRM-MS file and also do you mean if NoJuan999 post might end up in failure to read slic 2.1 (then try yours) or as in it might brick the mobo meaning I'm screwed?
Neither of these mods should Brick your MB. The ISA Mod should work. 911Medic said: Make sure you Flash from DOS with the included AFLASH2 that ASUS Provides for your MB. If after flashing it you run Slic Dump ToolKit or R/W Everything and they don't show SLIC 2.1 in BIOS then try the OEM7 Mod. That _ASUS_-E1948081.XRM-MS file is the Certificate that must be installed in windows after you flash with one of these Modified BIOS's.
Normally I'd use the loader's program slic option. If I end up having to use 991medic's mod how to I go about installing _ASUS_-E1948081.XRM-MS? Sorry for all the questions my first and only flash (gigabyte p31-s3g) went smoothly as I choose the dell slic option from the program after successfully installing the bios mod.
Please check that you have flashed the correct bios. The download contains both your un-modified original bios "w7255mln.30g" (which is slic 2.0) and the modified slic bios "slic.30g". You have to flash the "slic.30g" bios, which is the slic 2.1 modified bios. The "autoexec.bat" is suitably altered.
