Thank you again NoJuan999 for your suggestion. I did the installation. But the standard method to activate doesn't work. Even with W7 installed, I'm unable to get a dump of the SLIC table with the SLIC Dump Toolkit. I tried to use also the latest Beta of Everest to look at the ACPI tables, but there isn't any SLIC table available. I must say that I was skeptical about the option of activating W7 even if I was unable to see the SLIC table. But I tried anyway because you told me that it should activate correclty. The thing that leaves me more disoriented is also the fact that when I tried to add the HP Slic bin to the original firmware, the tool warned me about the existance of another slic (2.1) table already in the image of the BIOS. It's like if the table is there (like the one added manually) but when the BIOS boots the system, the SLIC table is discharged. I'm a newby about this things, and I just know the key aspect of all the activation procedure with a SLIC available in the ACPI tables. Do you have other suggestion? I'd like to avoid the slic emulation through grldr if possible. I haven't yet tried to use an activator, because I prefer the BIOS modding way. Thank you. Mirko.
m really sorry but i will internet access just for 4 more days :S thats why i post it again m really soory again :S
Intel2AMI can't extract an AMI Bios so it is Not really an AMi bios. It is an Intel Bios that I can't mod. Look for a Thread where people are working on Intel Bios Mods.
i cant find any thread with intel thing going on :S are they not modable? the intel bios. the version i told u abt its realeased on 8th feb 2010 :S
I've tried using this method on my MSI-7255 board and not getting very far. When I run the autoexec.bat and I get a message saying "slic.30g please wait!" that doesn't go away. Also, my BIOS looks like an Award but it says it's an AMI. Any reason for this? Any idea's on what's going on?
