    No Problem.
    Bios Back up files are fine on any AMI or AWARD Bios (as long as they are made with the correct Utility for the BIOS).
    kumeipark is just Wrong on that point.

    My guess is that is NOT really an AMI Bios, it might be an AMI EFI Bios which is completely different.
    That would explain the error.
    But try making a backup with AFUDOS from DOS (NOT From Within Windows).

    You can use even is old or the latest bios as long is the same bios for your motherboard.. Pick only one modded bios from the link i give it you then flash it.. Always flash in Dos, it's more safe besides Gigabyte motherboard is the easiest to flash from my thought..

    thank you so much on the fast response. I'm trying to do this but awardtool did not want to load my BIOS. I now no longer have to worry
