OK. I must have F****ed up on this one as it worked when I did it again. It still doesn't find the SLIC table in memory. I guess its always a little dangerous to use a bootable cd. My bootable usb flash drive just freezes and doesn't boot on this machine. Is there anything which can royally screw this up. The version of windows 7 I used was an acer 7 upgrade home premium disk for the laptop. I used this and then ran the anytime upgrade to sort out ultimate. I had to enter one of the SLP keys to get the anytime upgrade to run. This was before I decided to change the bios for a 2.1 one. Previously it had a 2.0 vista SLIC bios in it. I'm just downloading windows 7 again and I'll run it fresh with the MSI SSV1 bios to see if its OK afterwards. Thanks junpit
I would NOT use that SSV1 Mod unless the ISA or 0+2 Mods fail to work. Try using the ISA Mod first, AFTER you install an Un-Modified Copy Of Windows 7. If that fails try the 0+2 Mod Next.
