Worked fine, though I thought I bricked it as it was writing, it finished but the screen went black and the computer stayed on. I shut down, cleared cmos and unplugged, entered bios, set to defaults (suppose not necessary) and loaded windows. Now onto the next part. I assume since the BIOS mod said the non-FAPZ number that if I ever brick the board, that flashing my FAPZ chip as the other kind of chip is just fine? I was going to get a programmer, probably a Willem, in case I ever kill the bios. Anyway TYVM!!!!!! I assume it is safe to download any/all updates including the kb971033 update? (once I actually do the rest of the process?) I know you already answered it should be fine but I'm just making sure...i don't want to have to reflash it LOL. Thank you again!!! This Bios CAN and SHOULD be flashed in DOS with AFUDOS. I Never recommend Flashing from Windows especially with a Modified Bios.

Try using slic toolkit and post a screen shot of the advanced tab. It will show if there is any conflicts and also which SLIC is installed. I have seen somewhere (can't remember exactly where) that sometimes everest isn't always acurate. Anyway if you post the screenie then we can see more and be able to help you out.
pardon me for being noob but which tool did u mean? can u point me some links? im currently using vista 32 bit, already activated with ASUS OEM, i dont know if its matter. like i said, im noob to this, so any help would be much appreciated.
