    Default MEDION 6740.01 FR --- Strange BIOS

    Hello everybody,

    I"ve got a singular problem with a Medion System (6740.01 FR). I would try to inject a 2.1 SLIC by myself but i can't open the bios and there is no update.
    I use SIW to show information about actual bios : AMI revision 0006.
    Only Winplash could extract my actual bios and ... oh surprise ... the size of the file is 1028 ko !!!
    AMI Tool Mod can't open it : not valid size.
    Could someone help me ?

    - MB Manufacturer : ASUSTek
    - MB Model : P5K31-VM/S (Medion OEM)
    - Bios Revision : 0006
    - Bios Type : AMI
    - Bios SLIC : Medion 2.0
    - Bios Link : sendspace.com/file/0ot656 (just add www)
    - RW-Everything Report Link: sendspace.com/file/kfv274 (just add www)
    - Licence 2.1 : sendspace.com/file/gd2fld (just add www)

    Yes,
    I downloaded the one from your link just to be sure and they are definitely the Same Bios.

    I don't own an HP so you really need to search for others with HP Mini's and see what they had to do to get that PC to recognize the SLIC 2.1 info.
