Quick update on the matter................... It powers on for 6 sec. and then powers down. Holding CTRL-HOME only makes it power down faster. (no clue as to why....) Tried : FLOPPY (USB), CD-ROM (INTERNAL), USB FLASH DRIVE (4GB FAT32) to no effect......... Only two things left to try are either Internal memory card reader or internal HDD Any new suggestions are welcome.......... Cheers
Sorry, I have no clue. those ASUS Notebooks usually flash with an SSv2 mod without any problems. Yours is the first report of one of those Bricking that I have heard.
Sorry to hear it. But, I would have to assume there is some "Operator Error" involved when you Brick 2 PC's back to back. You might need to do a LOT more reading before attempting to Flash a BIOS in the Future.
My daddy always used to say " Never assume anything. It makes an "A**" out of "U" and "ME". Bricking 2 pc`s back to back is not uncommon nor unheard off. "Operator Error"........ hhhmmmmm........ Again, my daddy`s quote seems to apply. You assume that i might not have a clue to what i am doing. This is not my first TANGO. Out of 27 units since yesterday (12 F50SV 15 I43GM1), these 2 are the exeption, so................ PINCH OF SALT
Hello all, This request is for a Bios that has already been modded here but the download links for it are now dead. It's in post #5982 in this thread for a FOXXCONN NF4UK8AA-8EKRS Motherboard, with the WIP66 bios. Any chance any one could re-post an active link for that? Thankyou in advance!
Create bootable floppy/CD/USB. Copy awdflash893.exe and bios.bin to it. Boot from floppy and type awdflash893.exe bios.bin /cd /cp /py /sn /r Good Luck.
Thanks Serg008, I'll try to SLIC it myself first and if I fail I'll post a new request...If I have success I'll post it...lol! Thanks again guys!
